Paint Palette

Here is a great idea for a paint palette. Go to your local dollar store and get one of the hard plastic cutting boards for food. It has a handle cut right into it and works great for painting and mixing. With a small lip on it you don't have the spills but it can be washed off over and over again.

Embossing Tips

There are all types of new gadgets out for embossing. But when you don't have them available this is what I do to emboss something without a template or the many embossing boards you can get. Use a piece of batting 1/8 inch thick on a hard surface. Lay your paper on top. Use wax paper to coat the paper your embossing so the stylist slides easily over it.

Don't press so hard that it  punches the paper but run your stylist around the edges of the shape you want embossed. It works great and looks just as nice as if you had a template to use. Happy Embossing!

Hot Glue Gun Holder

Use a foam garden pad for your hot glue pad/holder. You can get them at the dollar store. They last a long time and when one side gets bad flip it over and use the other side.

Coloring for your Stitchery's

After I draw the picture I want to embroider. I lay my fabric on a piece of batting. Then color my picture  with colored pencils. It gives the stitchery a soft look and the colors blend how I want them. You can make your colors as light or as dark as you want them. Any colored pencils will work. But I would recommend a good set.

Not ones from the dollar store. Michael's, Hobby Lobby, Jo Ann fabrics and AC Moore all have a good variety.
